Finding a Coach

Being part of a new and growing field is an exciting ride.  I love what I do and I love helping people get clear about what they want and then helping them work through the obstacles to achieve their goals.

One of the challenges in being a part of a new profession is that not everyone knows what I do.  Unlike being a doctor or a lawyer, coaching is a pretty new idea for most people.  This isn't helped by the fact that almost every coach works in a slightly different way, with a unique focus and methodology.  This can be compounded when you are actually looking for a coach for yourself.  How do you find the right coach for you?

I've put together a website with some general guidelines on how to find a coach.  It includes the 3 things you should look for in a coach and the 3 things you shouldn't look for in a coach.  This will help you as you talk to various coaches about their process.

If you want to get a sneak peak at what the coaching process is like, you can also contact me for a free exploratory coaching session.  It lasts about 30-40 minutes, and I promise, it's painless.
